The Drew Las Vegas, formerly known as Fontainebleau is an unfinished resort project that is located across from Circus Circus, next to the former Riviera casino, currently a parking lot on the Las Vegas Strip. The resort sits on a site formerly occupied by the El Rancho Hotel & Casino and the Algiers Hotel.
The project was put to a halt in 2009 due to the economic downturn and was 70% complete. The property changed hands and in August 2017, it was sold to Witkoff Group and New Valley LLC for $600 million. The new owners have planned to resume construction of the resort.
The Drew Las Vegas will be equipped with 4,000 hotel rooms, 500,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor conference space and a casino. The resort will also offer entertainment, retail and several restaurants.
Construction of the resort is expected to resume in mid 2018 and complete by end of 2020.
