The Tohono O’odham Nation’s $400 million Desert Diamond Casino West Valley opened its doors to the public on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020. Located in Glendale, Arizona, the 1.2 million-square-foot facility replaced the interim casino that had been operating successfully since December 2015.
The casino’s 75,000 sq ft gaming floor includes more than 1,100 slot machines, 48 table games, a 36-table poker room, a VIP lounge and 380 bingo seats. Gaming tables are available 24/7. Other amenities include a huge rock-like bar with a second-story mezzanine that overlooks the casino floor, a food court, three dining options and a sports bar with food service.
While the tribe reportedly has plans to start work on a full-service resort, convention space and possibly a concert venue on the site, there is no construction timeline yet.
The Tohono O’odham Nation also owns and operates Desert Diamond Casinos in Tuscon and Sahuarita.
The new 75,000 sq ft casino at Desert Diamond West Valley offers approximately 1,136 slot machines, including some of the most popular games on the market, 48 live table games including Blackjack, Pai Gow Poker, Spanish 21, Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Visitors will also find a VIP lounge and a 380-seat bingo room for paper and electronic play and a spacious 36-table poker room.
Guests also choose from multiple dining options, a large, two-level casino bar and a full-service sports bar with food service.
